For my final project I’m thinking about finishing my project from last year. However, due to Covid it will be much harder to work with charities and other musicians but mostly to gather an audience as we all have to be socially distanced. So I’m thinking about finishing writing up my original songs and maybe perform them in the cafeteria. Creating an music event is very difficult and it will be very stressful for me to write songs and also take care of the whole event. I will also collaborate with other musicians and maybe other students from other courses to promote my performance. I have written 2 songs that I’m really confident in performing infront of others. My goal is to have at least 4 original songs and maybe 2 covers. Another idea I had in my mind was to compose songs. However, performing is something I like to do the most so for my final project I decided to perform my original songs. Last year I wanted to perform with my mom our traditional slovakian songs so if I will have enough time for everything I might think about performing with my mom.

I decided that for my final project I’m going to be performing in a cafeteria in front of a small audience as this can happen very possibly and there wouldn’t be a problem with the audience as everything is measured out and I can have a small amount of audience there. I might also work with other students from different courses to help me with promotion and let others know about my performance. I will work with other musicians as I want to add other instruments to my songs. I mostly want to perform my originals so I was thinking about performing 4 of my original songs and 2 covers.
I got a very positive feedback from Tom and he liked all of my ideas. However, I think that performing is my strongest skill as well as song writing and therefore I want to do something I really enjoy. Due to Covid-19 however, there won’t be as much as people as it would be before but I think that even with a small audience it will turn out great.
I’m talking about my ideas right at the start and Nic approves of my ideas. However, now that we are in lock down I have to think of a back up plan as I don’t have any recording equipment and a piano I’m not sure how I will make a performance. I’m thinking about recording everything on Logic as Lewis said that we might be able to record the equipment for our projects. If this won’t happen I will do a research on song writing as I enjoyed doing that from project 3.
