For my final performance I think that I’ve done pretty well. We all worked hard and we all tried our best. We worked well as a team in setting up the performance, getting the cameras and setting them up. My main job role was to take care of the cameras and film the whole performance. I also helped setting up the drums and took care of the cables . We had small problems which were fixed very quickly. One of the problems that we faced was that some cables were plugged in the wrong place so we changed them around. I also believe that there was a problem with a mic so we had to change it too. I didn’t have any problems but I did struggle to film one performance as I had to record 2 singers at the same time. It was quite difficult but I managed and I think the recording looks decent. I was moving the camera around zooming in and out. I think that filming was pretty easy and I enjoyed it. Me using the camera gave me experience to gain a new skill which can be helpful in future.
As for my performance I memorised the lyrics and the chords for both songs and I think we sounded pretty good. However, it wasn’t perfect and there could be still improvements to be made, for example our stage presence. We didn’t have that much time to practise because I didn’t feel well so I wasn’t in college for some time. For my solo performance I performed 2 songs, one was a cover and the other was my original song. I think I did pretty well and that others enjoyed it. I gained more experience by having to sing in front of the 3 cameras recording me. Another thing I did well that I improvised throughout my original song and I think that it sounded pretty good.
Overall, I think that our performance was really successful and my solo performance was successful too and I think that the audience will like it as I got feedback from my classmates that they liked my performance. For our group performance we didn’t have as much as time to practise together as I couldn’t be in college. However, I think that our performance sounded pretty good and that the audience will like it.
From the filming point of view It was the first time I used the cameras so I had to learn about all the different angles and about different cameras. It was easy to learn and I think It ws good as this was my first time recording. However, I couldn’t spend all the time editing because I couldn’t be in college. I did finish cutting the whole videos and added a little bit of effects. Carys finished adding the rest of the effects for me.
Overall, I think that I made a pretty good video. At first I was struggling to learn how to edit but then I got help from Lewis and then I had no problem with editing. I really enjoyed editing the videos and I think they turned out pretty good as this was my first time doing this.
