Before this piece was finished I have lost my work twice because I had my account reset and then everything got deleted so I had to start everything again, I made this piece in less than a week. However I tried to make it similar to Beth’s theme so I created the same tempo and tried to make it sound similar, for the melody I decided to start with violin 1 and with cello however in the Beths theme the melody starts with viola and cello. I decided to keep it simple and only change the melodies in both sections, however, in section B I decided to change the tempo of the piano to make it interesting. then I changed the melody starting with cello and then joining in with the violin.
Overall I think that made a successful piece because I have created a section A but also a section B, I have also created 2 different melodies and made my composition longer than 4 mins. However, what I could improve on could be adding more instruments in like violin because I only used it for the end of the song I could also improve on the melodies because in my opinion section B is not so great but I didn’t have enough time to fix it because I have lost my work 2 however now I will know that I need to ack up my work every time. During this project, I mostly struggled using Sibelius because I didn’t know anything about the different notes and how to read them it was very difficult for me to compose a song on Sibelius however I tried my best to create at least something decent. if I could do it again I would probably add more melodies maybe harmonies and add more than one section. On the other hand, I think that my piece is not perfect but I did make a successful song that has a beginning middle and end.
