During the mixing, the EQ was set for each audio file (guitar, bass and vocals), I looked at each frequency within the EQ and listened to where it needed boosting or cutting, and set this for each file.
Compression was needed for the guitar, bass and vocals. First, I looked at what the threshold needed to be for each instrument, and adjusted accordingly. Then, the ratio, attack and release was adjusted. Finally, the make up gain was added to boost any lost volume within the compression.
For the vocals, I added some delay (with help from Lewis). Using delay with vocals helps them sound fuller, and takes away any empty space.
