The aim for this project is ‘to co-ordinate a live musical performance, contributing towards the performance and management of the event. You must design, plan, promote and execute the event effectively.’
My role for this project is event manager. The name I chose for the showcase is ‘Amplified’. To fulfil my role as event manager, I must plan meetings to discuss the development of the showcase, and assign jobs to my peers. I must also produce and effectively promote materials for the event, both within and around college, and on social media.
Within this project, I have produced promotional content for the ‘Amplified’ event. Through creating an online ticket page, I encouraged others to reserve tickets, resulting in a sold out event.
I have had to carefully plan a live event to ensure it was successful and as professional as possible. I had to effectively communicate to my peers to make sure they are all aware of the agenda for each day/week.
Alongside this, I have also had to work with my band to produce a live performance for the showcase. We had to plan rehearsals with a singer, as well as set up the stage and live sound for the performance.
