I am happy with the final outcome of this mix. We recorded using a mix of audio and midi, so that we could change the sound of the synth to something better than what was available on the keyboards at college.
I panned both mics on the piano, and made sure that the EQ was almost identical for them both.
I played bass for the first time when recording the track, and although I think I learned the parts pretty quickly, I did mess up a note or too, but it isn’t too noticeable.
I wish I would have spent a bit more time finding a synth sound that worked better for the second section of the track as I feel like it didn’t match too well with the synth used for the first section.
