On our first song, we didn’t realise that it was a soundcheck performance, which is why we had no singers. In future, we will make sure to check with either Lewis or Nic so we know whether or not we are doing our soundcheck or not.
I think that we sound quite tight as a band, and we are all comfortable with the songs we are playing. We also had a singer to practise with more throughout the rehearsals for this performance, which made it a lot easier to learn the songs and their structure.
There are points within our second song where I go slightly off-time. In the final performance, I will make sure to keep the rhythm and timing consistent throughout the entire song.
I also need to make sure I learn my part for Jingle Bell Rock correctly for the final performance, as there are parts where I mess the chords up a little bit. I will make sure to learn this more in preparation for the final performance.
