Video Structure

Introduction – introduce myself and the aim of workshop this should be made clear from the get go to help the viewer know exactly what they are going to get out of it.

Part one – introduce the circle of fifths and other basic theory that will be helpful such as chords tones.

Part two – begin to apply this theory to create the harmony. Possibly stick to C major scale as it is the simplest with no accidentals.

Part three – melody. begin to explain how melodies work, using my research to help.

Part four – apply this to the melody example, use step-wise to avoid confusion.

Part five – rhythms using the quaver method. Drawing and removing them to build the rhythm you want.

Part six – explain lyric writing methods and apply them.

Part seven – put this into garage band (pre-video) to play to the viewers as a example of what they could come up with using this new knowledge.

Outro – Like, comment and subscribe.

Notes:
I can split these up into 4 separate shorter videos so that they do not become boring or even do part seven as a video all on its own of how the song might sound. This is just a basic plan that I may adapt in other sessions to come.
