We went to Leeds Grand Theatre to do a tour and interview workshop.
We made a list of jobs within the theatre industry alone. This helped us to see that as industry professionals, we can get jobs as something other than a performer. We then read some job specs (one of these can be found on my Job Specs Tab) and upon looking at this we interviewed one person in each group for the job. This was interesting as the interviewee was told to act in a specific way. For example, in my group, Kate was told to give limited detail in her answers and not make any eye contact; Michael was asked to be rude to his interviewers and Alinur was told to be cocky and over-confident. This was because these are common ways people conduct themselves in interviews that guarantee them the loss of the job.
