In this performance Paramore perform, sat down in front of a simple background. Most cameras are static but choose movement on certain shots to pan around the band. I like this performance because of its relaxed nature. It has natural feeling lighting, despite the recording clearly taking place at night time.
This video is good because of its unique style. As the album that this song is on has a dark, mostly monotone aesthetic, the video fits perfectly. This is a great example of keeping everything in your brand consistent. I think that making this video monotone is a great creative choice and if it had fit in with my branding, I might take inspiration from it.
Ensemble Performance:
I would like to keep my ensemble performance simple and effective. I will achieve this by choosing to have limited accompaniment (acoustic guitar and Cajon) and performing a song that I already know is within my vocal range and style. Therefore, the song that I have chosen is Playing God by Paramore. This is because Haley Williams’ voice is similar to mine in that she is a light-lyric soprano but has a chest-dominant sound, using mixing well which allows her to be versatile within her vocal range (2022).
I want to continue to take inspiration from the “that won’t save us (acoustic)” music video in terms of lighting. The orange tone makes the video feel warm and is an aesthetic that I enjoy the look of.
