I Don’t Know (Song 1):
Inspiration:
This song is about having feelings for someone who does not like you back. It was my take on the classic “love” song and reminds me of many drama shows I’ve seen on TV throughout my life.

Messed Up (Song 2):
Inspiration:
Messed Up is about a girl who is angry with the way she was treated by an ex. The first verse is all about the self love she has found after so much hurt and feelings of inferiority. The lyrics in the chorus were taken from a text message sent to me about how many things had gone wrong for my friend in a day. WhenI read it, I knew it would be a great lyric and by adapting it to this “breakup” theming it has worked well for me. The bridge is a reflection of girls who put others first and care too much, in the end, she ended up getting upset and I think that can be a relatable experience.

Hey? Do You Remember? (Song 3):
Inspiration:
The inspiration for this is all from my experiences with my best friend, especially ones involving my car. They are fond memories adapted into a song yet again written in the relationship genre as that is what comes quite naturally me. I was inspired by Olivia Rodrigo’s Drivers License, Sara Kays’ Traffic Lights, and Remember That Night? as well as Billie Eilish’s earlier songs which include ukulele. All of them gave me ideas for theming and sound.
