Aims and Objectives

Aims:

To manage a course-wide YouTube channel, which will focus on showcasing the entertaining side of our final projects and to organise and create a final showcase which will be live-streamed on YouTube.

Objectives:

  • Create a schedule for when the videos will be uploaded to the channel.
  • Decide on which projects will be suitable to upload to the channel. For example, the podcast created by James, Amelia and Hareth.
  • Create a schedule for the events leading up to the live stream, including mock recordings and editing deadlines.
  • Research into event role so that I am more aware of what I should do.
  • Choose a venue to record in.
  • Choose the video editing software I will be using. This is a choice between Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro.
  • Promote the channel and the stream. I will do this with the help of Abigail because she has experience with photography and editing using Lightroom and Photoshop. This will include developing logos and various other materials such as leaflets and posters or finding ways to promote through the T&A newspaper and BCB Radio.
  • Contacting people to discuss their projects and how they can fit into this.
  • Creating a personal schedule to ensure I carry out a successful project.
  • Create a marketing strategy/plan
  • Decide on a target audience
  • Context, Research, Problem Solving, Production Plan, Practical Skills, Presentation, Evaluation

Target Audience:

Music lovers mostly located in Bradford. These are most likely to be teenagers and family members and friends of those on the course. However, it may include listeners of BCB Radio, subscribers from the previous showcase and more.
