HISTORY OF LIVE PERFORMANCE:
Live music industry:
the live music industry has existed since music was created because there was no other way of listening to music apart from live music, Musicians used to play and the audience paid to listen to them so live music was always there and has remained the same apart from the massive technological advancements.
Music publishing industry:
In the 1600, when printing press was invented for the church liturgical chant to be produced in paper form, But in 1800’s the industrial revolution made the way for more structured delivery of music. That was when the music publishing industry started to rise. As the time passed the venues demanded new music to be played to their audience to enjoy, from baroque to the late 1800’s romantic took the lead with the delivery of sheet music. Mainly because it was more beneficial financially and it had more singing than just instruments playing.
The recorded music industry:
In 1857 a guy named leon scott made the first audio analysis that could record a piece of paper whic was taken a step ahead when thomas edison invented the phonograph, A device that could record and play back the sound recorded. That is when recorded industry became a thing. In 1984 les paul changed the game when he recorded the first sound on sound multi track recording with a track called ‘lover (when you’re near me). This was a great example set by les paul that recordings no longer to be taken live.

DEFINITION:
A technician dealing with acoustic for a broadcast or musical performance.
TIME:

also deals with tour managers or band managers about the timings etc.
They need to consider their target audience when advertising as well.

BAND MANAGER:

A person who works closely with a music group to help make major decisions regarding the creative and business direction of the band

Incharge of planning and organizing gigs for the bands.
