Evaluation

I personally believe that the live event we put on was on a higher level than we expected it to be, There were couple things we should have focused on a bit more. The roles were equally delegated between all the students which made it quite easy for us manage and prepare our assignments for the live event.

We managed to set up the stage and the P.A system like you would find on a professional stage, Obviously Evan and Lewis we’re great help, Evan assisted us a lot, He helped us with the heavy lifting and general guidance, Lewis gave us clear instructions always kept check and made sure we all knew what we were doing, There were enough refreshments for everybody and the ticketing process went smoothly, We did a good job in making space for people to sit and also stand up and go closer to the stage if they wanted, I personally enjoyed all the acts because I felt like the line up was perfect. All bands did a great job and made us glad we put as much effort as we did, The last band in particular was quite impressive but I’m afraid us as management let them down horrendously which at the moment left me and Lewis in a pool of embarrassment.

What went wrong was when it came to the professional band we had requested to come in and play for us, everybody in the audience got up and left since they didn’t know them and we realised all the audience were family members and when the band walked on the stage to an empty room we felt really embarrassed so we tried to do our best and got up and went near the stage, The thing that really embarrassed me was that the band was actually really entertaining and had a great setlist for us to enjoy. We equally agreed after the show that we should have put more effort in promotion than we did.
