DAY 1: Today was my first day in the studio recording my EP. I had never worked with Iza so I didn’t know what to expect. I walked in the studio and Iza was sat there and we got straight into it. We discussed different ideas for the song and I trust Iza with my eyes closed because I have seen her work and she’s great at what she does so I listened to hear she listened to me and we both agreed with each other which really helped us get along and make music. We recorded our first song called “let me smile/ Hasnay doo” which is in urdu. Jack was kind enough to play the guitar for me and improvise the lead guitar part which gave the song more volume. We aimed to just record the demo today but Iza really liked the song and her mind was exploding with great ideas so we ended up recording the whole song. It was a great day and it was really productive and me and Iza were really satisfied with the work we had done.
DAY 2:
We had a very productive day today. Working with iza is really great and easy because she has a very professional approach towards her work which makes it easier for the both of us. All our work is going very smoothly. We haven’t faced any problems yet which has allowed us to do more work then we expected, We recorded our 2nd song today called “close to me”. Jack’s been really kind to me and played guitar for both of my tracks and to get his creative input has just transformed everything in my mind into something twice as better. He’s an amazing guitar player and he’s contributed a lot to my work which i’m extremely grateful for.
DAY 3:
We recorded our 3rd song today called “Once upon a time”. I had already made a demo track for the song which made our work easier I just had to lay down the vocals and jack just had to play the guitar. This song is all about me not limiting myself and trying to expand my mind to different styles of music. It was an easy day because i’m more comfortable with working with Iza and we really understand each others concept. We finished recording all of the 3 songs for me EP this week.
