For my final major project, I decided to make a game and with the theme
being “pocket planet” and working with deer shed festival here was a
lot to think about. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

having spent nearly four years in college i have spent my first year doing
art and design and then next year spent the next 3 years in creative media
level 2 to level 3 ext. learning mostly game in level 2 and while in level 3
learning mostly film and in extended learning both film and games and while i was in college i also took English write and created story for while in my own time i have done some art in my own time manly with spray paint and i have done some creative thinking with other friend with creating a series character design how the story will go names of places and other stuff with my own though in mind that i do randomly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

the style of the game i have decided to make a 2.5D style type game and the
reason for this is because with making 2D style like game does not seem to
interested me and with 3D I felt like it was out of my league and so 2.5D is
what I want to go with as this intreated me. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

as I was talking about my idea with Jake that teach games, he believes that
my idea overall is doable as the game only really need one blueprint and i can duplicate the blueprint and replace what is needed and it will be more focus on the graphic side of the project s i need to created the asset for the game with can be done at college or at home and afterwards i just need to add what is need to add. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

for what type of game, I going to be doing I am going to a side scroller
story type game as I believe I can do that as it not too complex to do it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

with the theme in mind also I was told that deer
shed house over 10,000 people and a lot being family with kids I know that an
education game is the best way to go as I don’t want to be a bad influence as
the deer shed festival is a place to celebrates music, art science and sport of
all age. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

for the game in general I want to be an history\/cultures game as there are
many points in time that are interested in both children and adult and as for
the culture I believe it a good idea to have in the game as a way to show
equality. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

as this is a story type game, I feel like a narrator would be a good idea as
it will bring my game more to life as a person speaking can have so much more
effect and people then one might thing and as for the voice style, I would like
it to be a typical narrator voice, there is also another idea i would like to
do and the idea is having different accent with explaining different culture so
when exploring Asian culture, I would like to have some with Asian accent. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

for how the game overall will look I don’t want it to be over complicated so
I want to take inspiration from the game “little big planet” or “paper Mario” as the
uses materials like cardboard and input them in the game as a platform for the
character but I will be doing a different style to the one I chosen and see if I like the style and the time it takes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

while making the game I don’t want it to be bored so I want to have some
humour to keep the player interested. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

while game the game I will need to do the research and the history\/ culture
but that not all since this an educational game I need to think of what to ad
and not to add because I don’t want to and something bad like the world war as it quite graphic for young audience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I order to know what I believe is suitable I will want to interview and
person that has a job in history and people of the culture to know what is
suitable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

there is other thing that I also researching and one of them is trine 3 as
that is a 2.5D game and NieR Reincarnation for side scrolling story that was
recommend for me and I going to investigate the game and see what it like and see what is similar about my idea and there’s. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

while the project is going on I want to keep track of the work that I’m
doing and I want to take notes on my feeling about the work as if I felt like I
have done enough. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I also want to keep a check list on what need to be done and try to keep the
time frame on the project. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

as of now though my idea will have to change as i originally i was going to do different culture from people around the world and thought history but since the plan for the interview and other stuff i had to change my idea and i have decided that it should be famous landmarks around the world <\/p>\n\n\n\n

i ask some people about famous landmark and reason why <\/p>\n\n\n\n

one land i would like to add is Stonehenge as it a historical landmark in England that i believe not many people know about it and it a good way to get the word out about it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

when i ask Ethan (a classmate) to name a famous land mark he says leaning tower of pisa and the reason why he said that land mark was because he took part to a trip to Italy <\/p>\n\n\n\n

when i ask Reece (my brothers) to name a famous land mark he says the Eiffel tower as he seen the land mark before and he quoted “it was a sigh to behold” <\/p>\n\n\n\n
