with my topic I ordinary wanted to ask some people what was there inspiration person/character (real or not) growing up and the reason as to why there like that character and do some research as to why there look up to them
but then I though of my inspiration growing up and i started with writing some notes on some character and the 3 I believe have the biggest in pack was “Sans” from Undertale, “Kenny McCormick” from south park and “Edward Newgate” from one piece and with these as my inspiration i wanted to know other opinions on the franchise
Sans by toby foxy
Sans was created by a man name toby fox and toby fox was the creator of Undertale that was release in 2015 he was not just the developer of the game he was also the publisher and the group he work with was small with just 7 people with 4 special inspirations
we meet sans early in the game and he is seen as a creepy character that follow you but later, we see sans as a funny, odd and lazy character that make jokes and puns that always make me laugh and depending on the story route you chooses (manly depending on if you kill everything or not) sans is your greatest enemies or your greatest allies
the reason that I like the character so much was that overall i found the character funny and love to see what he would do next.
with my primary research i wanted to hear and know from other fans of the game so i posted a quick survey on reddit with the tag r/undertale and overall i got 36 responses
with 36 response i was able to get a range of people opinion on the game it self for the different character there like, the reason why there like the character, how there heard about the game, like about the game and what there would change.
one thing that interest me was that the number of people that seen it on youtube and while looking though i counted the total number of 17 responses and with that in mind i went on youtube and see just hw many view this game got alone.
one user says that he learn about the game from a you-tuber by the name “Jacksepticeyes” so i check out his first undertale video and from the video alone it was a total about on 21,829,895 as of the time 10,17 on Friday 18th of February and with a total of 325k likes on the video (Jacksepticeyes, 2022)
with that many views and like i went to see just how like that the game really is and so i went to “Steam” and look at the reviews and as of now it has a total 173,706 with 167,836 being positive and 5,870 being negated show just how popular this game is . (Undertale on Steam, 2022)

south park was creator August 13, 1997 and south park is know for it very dark humour and children like show and as of right now it has a total of 24 season
what I like about the show first of all is that it look unique and I didn’t start to to watch until season 14 where I first saw an episode but it was not until i watch a certain episode for season 14 that I started to like the show and a character and that was Mysterion aka Kenny McCormick
Kenny is know are south park as the poor kid that normally wear his bright orange coat in the south park game we fight as him as Mysterion in the game “South park fractured but whole” and also fight with the character princess Kenny in “south park stick of truth”
one of the many reason I like the character so is the gag that the show has on Kenny that basically kill the character and then he return the next episodes alive without a care in the world
I did another survey with this franchise in mind and posted the survey on reddit and got a total of 34 responses
with this survey I ask some fans for this series what there like or dislike favourite character reasons why as to like the character
the part i was more interested in was one part of the survey
one part was the topic “do you think that some joke on south park are too dark” to which the most common is no which I believe is not true because the show itself is not scared on what the people think of the show and the only reason why i believe people says no is that the creator of the show our trying to make up laugh even with serious matters

according to Jeremy Winslow “We reached out to the game’s publisher, Ubisoft, who had no official statement but confirmed that it’s just a joke,” GamesRadar reported. “It doesn’t affect combat difficulty or any other aspect of gameplay difficulty. The slider changes skin tone, but it’s purely cosmetic.” (winslow, 2022)
there are many controversy over this topic alone on how the creator show social commentary and if this is right or wrong to do and in the game alone there are other inspiration that cause controversy and that was adding jared fogle in the game and with just these two controversy alone can show what a game creator can have

Edward Newgate by Eiichiro oda
oda is know as the creator of one piece a story about pirates and adventure with the first release the first volume in the late 1997 and after 2 years later got an animated series by Toei Animation and with a 1040 chapter and over 1000 episodes to the series that been going on for 20 years there a lot to enjoy
the one character that I enjoy the most was the character Edward Newgate also know as whitebeard and the first time that we hear his name was the name of his crew “the whitebeard pirate” by some characters and that was in chapter 157 and on chapter 159 we see a silhouette on the man but at chapter 234 that we final see the man and he is a giant old man with the tags saying “the strongest man in the world”
but we get to the character more at chapter 551 when the whitebeard crew starts a war with the marines as the marines as chapter one of his crewmates
over the course of 30 chapter we learn a lot of information on a lot of characters like how everyone see whitebeard as a father figure by calling him pops and as the war was going on one of his allies betrayed him and stab him injuring him and while injuring he says the quote “my foolish son but you many be a fool i still love” while he embrace him and with that manage to turn the tide of battle and with that alone it show how much a caring character he is.(Totally Not Mark, 2022) 14.12 – 16.15
on chapter 576 is where whitebeard died in battle and the quote from the manga that got me to like the character is this
“even in death, even with half his face gone he would never fall …he will forever be remember as a monster for the way he destroyed enemies that day. in this one battle alone he suffer 267 swords wounds struck by 152 bullets and 46 cannon blast and yet neither his mighty body nor his pirate spirit suffered even one coward wound”(Totally Not Mark, 2022) time frame 33.00 – 33.38
we knew this character less the the main character in the story but yet he made big impact on people real and not, in fact out of 1000 of character in the game he came a total 31 in a world wide ranking (oda, 2022)
i then di a survey on the topic of one piece and got a total amount of 17 response on reddit
these was some result that I got for this I manly just ask for there favourite part of the story and dislike with the reason why and a other things as well
with such a i though it would be a good idea to cover it.
