This is the start of the pitch of my idea of a short film and the film is called “a average life of a college student” and the reason for that is that i wanted to make a short film that not too hard to make and a film that is doable.
first of all i told the plot of the story on how it was about 2 main characters and how the viewer is going to follow the character adventures inside and outside of college and with the plot i also told the people that i was presenting that it was going to following the plot in a liner narrative the it going to be a comedy and i also told them that i am going to break the film convention with “theory of character”.
basically with this film will start with the narrator intro ducting the character and then the audience is going to follow the 2 main character though the week (starting with Monday and ending with Sunday and each day will be 1 mins long) and we watch and see what there will do and while following them on there activates and that the end of the film the narrator is going to be seen and character 2 burst into the room and and shout at the narrator “i knew it”
on the next slide i quickly went over the characters and what there are like and in brackets i added little comments to try and keep the audience entertain to that way there will be interested in my short film idea some idea that i stay with was that character 2 could hear the narrator (as i though that was a unique character trait) and since character 2 can hear the narrator that why i wanted to end the scene as i said before.
originally i wanted character 1 to be a bold and confined character and the type of man that will always keep his promises but when he with character yo his personality change but at the end of it i decided to change my idea because it the was easy to execute.
next i introduce the audience to the location that i plan to use and the location intend to use and i plan to use the college as it easy location for filming as i know the area and i wanted to do a home setting as i the character are friends so interacting with each other at a home setting would be normal (and i will uses my own to uses my home to film this).
with the next two slide i talk about equipment and props that i would be using with equipment i would be planing to use multiple tripod and camera to record the scene as i can record the scene at different angles, microphone and a USB stick and a SD card to keep the film in ( i also was going to use my one drive) but with prop a wide range of props can be uses but since the scrip is not written as of yet i got really know on the what prop is need but when the scrip is written i am confident to i will already have what is need and if i don’t then i can easily get what is need.
soon after i talked about costumes and since this is base on college students so there going to where casual clothing but i do have a wide range of costume so if a costume is needed then i can uses it and if don’t have the costume i can created one or know where to get some.
target audience is what i talk about next as i wanted my film to be for teenager around the same age as the actor as i believe that people round the same age group will enjoy it more if they similer in age and i talk about wanted to add different level of comedy from light humor to dark comedy.
next i talk about the poster and i interact with the audience asking them there own though on which of these were there prefer as i like though on what i idea or design there like.
afterwards i talk about my inspiration that i first talked about “regular show” by JG Quintel any how i going to take the misleading title intro my short film and another inspiration is a show call “close enough” by the same creator.
next i talked about challenges as one challenges will be the home setting as my group will need to get travel there by bus or car depending on the area where there live and it will be the same with equipment and i talk about the script as well as writing it will be difficult as everyone have different taste in comedy and finally i talked my cat and dogs at home and if people that i working with are alleges to theme i will need to move them out of the way to that there alleges don’t act up.
finally i give them a reason on why i should get pick to created the short film as i believe that i’m a creator thinker and then i later show them a image of my friend in a radiation suit holding a baby doll with blood on it.
at the end of my pitch i ask the audience to see if there have any question on my pitch and one question i was ask was the writing a scrip and i replies saying that i will wright the script and i will ask my group though on the matter to see if the scene will be keep in the final script and i would like my group to wright there own ideas as well as there idea could be better then mine and if there are i would like to add it to the script.
over all what i believe that i did good about the pitch is that i interact with the audience and keeping them eyes on my as i present my pitch and because of that i got some of theres opinion on some topic like which poster was better or what there dislike.
one thing that i dislike is the i stutter or forgot what i was going to says so it make my idea look not as though out.
