One of my tasks was to record a band and mix down the recording afterwords. To do this i firstly had to set up all the equipment so i started by moving the drumkit into a more appropriate position to cause less bleed.
Once the drum kit was moved i began to move all of the microphones for the singers into position. After that i had to mic up all the instruments and Amps. I started by micing up the guitar and bass guitar amps.
Once I had mic’d up all the equipment I went into the studio and set up the computer so that all the channels were linked to each channel in logic, so that once ready to record we could have an individual track for each instrument that was mic’d up. Once this was complete, myself and two other class peers recorded the band that was playing. We took three different recordings and decided to use the final one.
Once chosen we began individually mixing our audio files and colour coordinating each track
