For the gig, we brought our own breakables which included my cymbals, snare, bass pedal, and guitars. Everything else we used belonged to\u00a0Bradford College.<\/p>\n<p>One strength of this performance was our tightness as a band. Due to all of the rehearsals and performances in recent weeks we had developed a really tight set. We all knew exactly what to play and when. We were also tight musically, there weren&#8217;t any obvious mistakes made, and we all kept in time with each other. This just goes to show how constant rehearsals will have a positive effect on your performance. Another strength of this performance was our stage presence. Even though we were playing to a room full of seated parents (which isn&#8217;t our target audience) we still managed to have an engaging and entertaining stage presence whilst dialling it down to be more appropriate for the audience. Another strength\u00a0of this performance\u00a0is that we had a banner hanging over us for the set. This helped with people remembering who we are and made us look more professional.<\/p>\n<p>One weakness of this gig was the sound levels. Because of the way the room was set up, I especially couldn&#8217;t play loud. Therefore you can see me holding back in the video and not being able to maximise my potential. With CHAPODIO, I am used to playing very loud venues and therefore being able to play loud which is where I am most comfortable. Because of this, showing up on the day of the performance and being told I had to hold back my playing was a bit of a shock. Another weakness was our attire on stage. We were all wearing completely\u00a0different clothes and colour schemes. In future, we will need to coordinate this more to make us look more professional and not like another garage band that is just starting out.<\/p>\n<p>All these things considered, I think this was a successful performance due to the fact that the audience seemed to enjoy it and we got some good feedback from our friends and family who were there at the time. I will take what I have learned from these performances with me into the future in order to be the best possible performer that I can be.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>These are the videos from our final performance.
