Studio Reflection and Evaluation

My two days in Corner house recording studio was an enjoyable and unforgettable experience. I learned a lot while I was there and also learned some skills that will aid me in my career in the future. Skills such as how to properly mic up a bass cab with a condenser microphone, how to effectively troubleshoot when something goes wrong, and most importantly, how to deal with a professional in the industry. We accomplished what we set out to achieve by recording an EP in a professional studio with a professional engineer. I learned a lot about this, how to act around professionals, how to network and make sure you leave a good lasting impression. This was important for us, if we ever choose to record with Kurt at Corner house again, which I’m sure we will, we want him to take us as he will have good memories about us. This could also lead to him telling his industry peers about us and hopefully open doors for us in the future.

The EP we recorded sounds phenomenal and we are all very happy with it. It was a new experience and one I would definitely pursue again in my career.
