The overall concept for my project is to write and professionally record an EP with my band, CHAPODIO, in order to increase our fanbase. I am the drummer in my band so that is one big aspect of this project. I will be writing the drum parts and playing the drums both in the recording studio and at live gigs. The EP will contain two tracks; Bad Habit and Smackhead. The title of the EP will be Bad Habit. With the EP, we are planning to record and release a music video to go with the title track of the EP. With this, we hope to give fans of our music some engaging content and therefore more incentive to be loyal to us. As this is a collaborative process with two other students on my course, Cain Watson (bass) and Sonny Lumsden (vocals), we have split up the tasks so one person focuses on each. I am going to be in charge of the recording process. This means that as well as writing and practising my parts as the drummer, I will also have to pick a studio, liaise with the recording engineer, make sure the band is prepared for the studio, and most important of all, make sure we have a good sounding EP at the end of it that we are proud of.
