The music industry is a constantly changing landscape. To make it big as a rock artist is a lot more difficult than it was a couple of decades ago. Rock and especially hard rock is almost never featured in the top charts and doesn’t really grow to a massive status nowadays. However, this is the type of music I have always loved and is a big passion of mine, therefore I would like to make it in the industry. Hopefully, this project will give me the skills necessary to be able to do so. As I want to be a performer in a band, there are a lot of expectations that the industry has for people like me. Firstly, you have to be talented. You have to be good at what you do. With my band’s strong rehearsal schedule and dedication to being great, I have faith that our technical ability will be able to impress people in the industry. Secondly, you have to be your own PR team. With social media being what it is today, most industry professionals won’t even consider you unless you have a large following on social media. Hopefully, after we have recorded and released this EP, we can generate enough noise and build up enough hype around us to have a reputable name for ourselves. This is what I aim to do for this project.
