OVERDUBS

Today, we began overdubbing guitar on our songs to get it to sound cleaner and tighter. The guitarist of the obscurities, Sam Keep, recorded some guitar live whilst we were tracking drums and bass. However, there were a few mistakes so we’ve decided that Sonny, our singer who wrote the guitar parts and is more comfortable with them, will overdub the parts that we weren’t happy with and could be improved.
For the overdubs, we are using the same guitar, amp, and amp settings, just a different guitarist. The first song that we re recorded guitar for was ‘long time’
PROBLEMS
The first problem we ran into was that as we were beginning to record the guitar parts was that we were getting a signal from the guitar mic into the desk, but we weren’t able to record into logic. We fixed this by……..
