{"id":44,"date":"2017-10-30T16:11:25","date_gmt":"2017-10-30T16:11:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/digitalspace.bradfordcollege.ac.uk\/10579675\/?page_id=44"},"modified":"2017-10-30T16:35:42","modified_gmt":"2017-10-30T16:35:42","slug":"mock-performance-evaluation","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/digitalspace.bradfordcollege.ac.uk\/10579675\/mock-performance-evaluation\/","title":{"rendered":"Mock Performance Evaluation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"840\" height=\"630\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Re2ORCUWuDE?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" gesture=\"media\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>What Went Well?:<br \/>\nWe played through each song with minimal mistakes relatively smoothly, this meant that we knew we were ready to perform\u00a0in the final performance and improved our confidence in the final performance as well.<br \/>\nThe transitions between each song were fairly\u00a0smooth and almost effortless, meaning that if we had an audience, they wouldn&#8217;t be waiting around for us to continue on with our next song.<br \/>\nWhat Could Have Been Improved?:<br \/>\nWe all made a few small mistakes whilst performing, mostly because the venue was relatively new to us, however when we got used to the venue we were much more confident and comfortable performing there.<br \/>\nEven though the transitions were relatively smooth, we still believed that, as a band, we could improve upon this by being ready with equipment and making sure that we knew our set list well.<br \/>\nStrengths &amp; Weaknesses:<br \/>\nStrengths<br \/>\nAs a band we were comfortable performing together already, which relieved some of our stress whilst performing, allowing us to perform in a better, smoother fashion<br \/>\nWe all knew our pieces relatively well which meant that we knew what we were doing and when, this also made us feel much more confident and comfortable performing.<br \/>\nPersonally, I knew my pieces well and was definitely ready to play my pieces right, and through transitions between songs, I was fast at preparing myself for the next song.<br \/>\nWeaknesses<br \/>\nAs a band, although we were confident in some aspects, we still weren&#8217;t fully confident in our own skills, this held us back slightly from playing at our best.<br \/>\nPersonally, it was one of my first gigs and\u00a0I wasn&#8217;t feeling very confident on stage yet and I felt as though\u00a0I had a lot of work still to do and so\u00a0I felt as though i was less confident than the other members of my band.<br \/>\nMy Roles Effectiveness:<br \/>\nAlthough my role was to complement Sonny and Alex through the lead guitar, I still feel as though i could have played better as I made a few mistakes, like not playing a certain part of Zombie at the right time and playing the wrong chords a few times during I Wish You Were Here, and before the sound check,\u00a0I had been on quite a low volume and not realised, this meant\u00a0that I was hard to hear out of the front of house and so I wasn&#8217;t performing at my best, although, i felt very confident in the fact that i knew my pieces and helped to spur me on to do well and perform better than i normally would have done.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What Went Well?: We played through each song with minimal mistakes relatively smoothly, this meant that we knew we were ready to perform\u00a0in the final performance and improved our confidence in the final performance as well.
