The feedback I was given after presenting to the class is as follows;
- The idea to interview Heather Melgram was a potentially good idea
- If we were to do a cover, we would need to ensure that we put our own creative mark on it and make it stand out
- The time frame for actually composing and producing the tracks was too short
- I will need to document the production meetings all the time
Reflecting on this, we have decided to stick with interviewing Heather Melgram, as well as asking for her opinion on each revision of each song so we can reflect on her feedback. We have also created a documenting process for documenting our production and composition meetings. However, we have decided to change our time plan, giving us more time to produce and compose each track, and we also decided that we will only do a cover if we feel like we don’t have enough time to compose and produce an entire track from scratch as we felt it restricts our creative strengths more than composing an entire new song would.
