For this project, we need to complete a studio recording, using music production, recording and other techniques to ensure it is done to a high quality, professional standard. We will need to look into, and document, these techniques, the equipment we will be using, etcetera, to ensure that we understand what to do throughout the entire process. We will then test these techniques in different scenarios to get used to using them, for example, we will mix multiple different songs including our own live performances from project 2 where we performed at The Underground. Then we will record and perform, according to a timetable, a cover of MGMT – Kids using some of the techniques we have been researching. We will then take the recording projects from our recording sessions, and mix them using the techniques we researched until they have an appealing, profesional, high quality sound.
