What I liked about this composition:
- I felt that this composition really suited its purpose and that it synced really well with the video.
- I was much happier with my variation and use of space in this composition compared to my first composition with the sonnet.
What I disliked about this composition:
- I felt like, even though there was a much wider instrumentation in this composition, i could have done better better by recording some acoustic guitar, or another instrument like that, to give my composition a more realistic sound.
- I also believe that I could have varied the bass parts more than I did, this would have given the composition a more vibrant sound and tone.
What will I do differently in the future? :
In the future, I will attempt to plan out my compositions before hand by writing down ideas for song structures, chord structures, and instrumentation, etc. I will also try and use samples more in in larger compositions like this.
What has this composition taught me? :
This composition has taught me that instrumentation, variation and tone all go hand in hand and are incredibly important for compositions like this.
