Week 1
Create set list for Birmingham performance including working out keys with Leah and writing out charts for Cain and Fraser. Organise the first band rehearsals and create a rehearsal structure for the next 3 weeks. Begin to research potential community projects and begin to look at work and university opportunities after college.
Week 2
Continuing practicing with the band and complete all of the charts, structure set list as appropriate and prepare for practice performance that week. Establish groups for community music project and begin to draft out ideas.
Week 3
Make sure all of the songs in the Birmingham set list are to a good standard. Establish the beginning and endings of each song. Prepare for final mock performance. Start to research different community music ideas as well as solo performance songs.
Week 4
Continue solo performance practice daily. Begin looking at University requirements and courses, focus on preparing for RNCM audition. Complete the plan for the first community workshop practice.
Week 5
Do first community project practice, ask for feedback and reflect on how to improve it. Continue self performance practice, as well as preparing for RNCM audition. Look at potential Job opportunities after leaving college.
Week 6
RNCM Audition. Play a mock performance of the solo performance, make sure community project plan is fully ready. Continue rehearsing for performance. Complete CV.
Week 7
Final performance. Finish write up for all sections as well as the evaluation. Complete UCAS application and submit portfolio for this project.
