Over Capacity Members of the public/performance/staff Using a ticketing website (Event Brite) so as to know how many people are attending and allowing us to know when the building is at capacity Have staff on the door to ensure that tickets are being checked properly. Using electrical equipment Myself & other performers/production staff/ the public

Electrical faults could cause electrocution or a potential fire.

Ensure that my equipment and the venue equipment has been pat tested.

Look at equipment insurance.

Make sure the venue has designated and clear fire assembly appoints as fire safety and first aid equipment. Myself, the event organisers and the venue staff Prior to the mock performance and final performance
Lifting heavy equipment Myself and other performer’s /venue staff. Lifting by the knees or asking for help when moving heavy objects. Make sure that everyone is aware of the risk that heavy lifting causes. Myself and the organisers Prior to the mock performance and final performance
Loud Noises Myself, other performer’s /venue staff and members of the public. Distributing and wearing ear protection Make sure that everyone is aware of the risk of  being exposed to loud noises over a long period of time. Tripping Hazard Myself, other performer’s /venue staff and members of the public. Keep my wires and cables neat and organised. Make sure all wires are tidily kept and don’t obstruct common pathways. Myself and the organisers Prior and during a performance.
