In the first week, I will begin to organise the basic structures for which I will build upon over the next 9 weeks. This will include me checking the availability of the musicians in my band and creating a rehearsal schedule.
I will also be researching promotional ideas and music business models in order to establish a promotion structure. I will be making initial contact with venues as well as discussing with other performing musicians in college about their ideas for the final performance. In the second week, I will be confirming the date and venue for my final performance.
I will begin studying other jazz musicians and bands in order to understand their composition techniques and music content so as to get inspiration for my own compositional ideas. I will establish the band name and create a social media page in order to begin the promotion process. Evaluation |

In my third week, I will continue to study other musicians and will analyse different chord structures and harmonic ideas.
I will begin to arrange the pieces that I have already written as well as experiment with other musicians and vocalists in creating different sounds. I will begin to inquire into a potential photo shoot on week 5 as well as practice performance opportunities. Evaluation |

I will aim to have 4 of the final songs completed by the end of the week, meaning that I can see how many covers we might have to do for the set.
I will be working with a couple of vocalists and finalising the plans for songs involving lyrics. I will be contacting an artist about some design work for the band. Evaluation

By the fifth week, I will be looking into how we will set up for a performance as well as the equipment we will need.
I will create a risk assessment in order to use in our mock performance and final performance. We will have 6 songs fully completed so as to be ready for our mock in week 6. Evaluation |

I will be completing the majority of my session work by week 6 so as to fully focus on my own band.
We will be performing a mock at a venue in Bradford. I will be looking at the practicality of creating a good recording live of our final performance by using a mock performance as research. Evaluation
