What is the Project? This project is Editorial, Fashion and Bridal make up
What have I been asked to do? (what is my role) I am required to develop my research skills within industry and explore the areas of editorial, fashion and bridal/wedding makeup, and design and complete a final look with in my preferred area of one look from editorial ,fashion or bridal. which I can choose which area I want to specialise and complete the look to the best of my ability.
What skills am I bringing to this Production?
The skills I have gained from my previous projects of make up and hair style will boost my experience further with creating the make-up and hair for editorial/fashion and wedding looks, I feel the skills I have gained from my previous project practices of, make up blending and choosing the right products for the type of look and the hair to go with it, as well as practice on these exciting project areas will give me a lot more depth in understanding different creating looks and to play with the colours and textures, this will take me one step further in my experience as a make up artist.

Task:
To find 4 different editorial images and describe what the image is story telling
What do the images show?
Dramatic, show off, fluorescent eye shadow, simplicity, colours, shimmer, precise lines, vibrant,
What do the models look like?
Artistic, dramatic, elegant, happy, sad, colourfull
Are the images selling a product?
showing the Make up artist skils.
What do you see in skin?
Clean, shimmery, dewy, matt, natural.
Do you think the images have been achieved with one person or a team?
most of them are achieved by one person but the full body and back ground can involve a team work .
What type of products have been used to achieve this make up and hair look?
paint, hair spray, gel or oil, hot/bendy roller for volume. pins and bubble to tie the hair.
Braids Task
Braid 1 – Dutch Braid – with 3 strands, you may add sections to the hair for colour or length. Can be don on he top of head or from the nape, this is over hand braid, keep it tight with thumb so it doesn’t loosen when exchanging the strands. gives raised plat look.
Braid 2 – Fish plat, with 2 strands, can be don from the top of head or from the nape, it is done using 2 strands, this gives flat from middle and raised from the sides, it creates fish skin like style. must be kept tight using thumbs for neatness when exchanging the strands.
Braid 3- French braid – This is created using 3 strands with over hand, this is kept tight with both thumbs to keep it near, and is slightly flat under hand unique style.
Braid 4 – Bubble Braid – this is created either in 1 or multi-pony tail using small bubbles every few inches in the hair to create bubbles, head to ends.
Braid 5 – pull through braid- this is created by hold hair strands from both sides (in both hands), tie pony loosely with see through bubble (a section from both sides of hair/pony), rap section inner side loosely and pull the hair through and drop so it gives bow type effect.
