Reflect on the progress you have made so far for this project?

I have cried many different practice looks and have done research on google to find out about the the Bradford Police museum. the character of my model is Bretha she was a young girl who stole milk due yo hunger and got caught by the police and was put in prison as in Victorian time the law for punishment was same for children aa what it was for adults.

What skills do you think you need to continue to develop during this project? Getting familiar to use digital space and how to present the work up to date. IT skills.

Please reflect on the work you are producing. Are you happy with the outcome so far? I am very please of what and how much I have learned so far.

How do you think this project will help you in your next step-on the course? I have better understanding of blending the make up, uploading to digital space and looking into designing of self promotion by creating business cards.

getting used to the digital space and uploading work. sometimes it feels too stressful as every lesson has its own task and the dead line is too short.

What activities and techniques have you used in sessions to support the development of your work? Please talk about what you have learnt about these techniques and how they may be useful for you in the future. 

What is your role in the overall project? Tell me what your responsibilities are as part of this role. I believe i am supposed to search and gather information about the Branford Police Museum and help do make over of my model who is playing a young girl Bretha, character from the Victorian time, who’s spirit has been believed be still around the cells of the museum.

How well are you working on your role? I am practicing different looks. but as my model is confused of what look she wants to go for or what she wants to wear, therefore I can not practice any look and feel lost if what I will create on the assessment day.

How well are you working as a whole company team? over all everyone is getting along really well. its good atmosphere.

Stage Manager-

Stage managers are responsible for ensuring that theatrical performances run smoothly and to schedule. They organise all practical and technical aspects of rehearsals and shows and ensure that performers and crew are in the right place at the right time.

Set Designer  –

The set designer, also known as the scenic designer, is responsible for designing the scenery—and more broadly, the artificial environment —in which a stage, television, or film performance takes place.

Lighting Technician –

Lighting technicians set up and operate lighting for concerts, conferences and theatre, or in film and TV productions.

Sound Technician –

As a sound technician, it’s your responsibility to assemble, operate and maintain the technical equipment used to record, amplify, enhance, mix or reproduce sound

Make-up Artists –

research and design make-up and hairstyles. work to production designers’ notes and instructions. tidy and style hair. create special effects make-up.

Actor –

Interpret serious or comic role by speech, gesture, and body movement to entertain or inform audience for stage, motion picture, television, radio, or other media production. Rehearse and memorize lines. Entertain, convey characters and express emotions in front of a live audience.

Choreographer –

A Choreographer designs and directs the dance or stylized movement in musical productions, working closely with the director and musical director. A choreographer works with dancers to interpret and develop ideas and transform them into the finished performance.

Animator –

Conceptualizing ideas for characters, scenes, backgrounds and other animation elements. Creating character sketches for new animations based on design briefs. Developing storyboards for animation projects. Designing backgrounds, sets and other elements of the animated environment.

Arts Administrator –

Arts administrators make the arts happen. They are the organisers of the arts world. They help to organise events and exhibitions, manage staff, and look after buildings like theatres or museums. They book venues, promote events, help with staff training, manage budgets and look after petty cash.

Costume Designer –

  • study the script to understand costume requirements.
  • discuss ideas with the director, and with production, make-up, lighting and set designers.
  • research suitable costume styles and fabrics.
  • sketch costume designs.
  • create costumes to fit the production’s design concept and budget.

Singer  –

  • Learning, memorizing, recording, rehearsing, and performing songs.
  • Collaborating with managers, movie producers, and other musicians.
  • Fine-tuning craft through singing exercises and vocal training.
  • Maintaining the appropriate physical appearance and stamina needed for performances.

Creative Director –

They work with the creative team to create, plan and deliver a strategic vision for clients. You’ll be involved in planning advertising, supervising the entire creative process and guiding the team that works under you. The creative team includes art directors, copywriters and designers.

Playwright –

The Playwright writes scripts for plays. He/She creates the story line for the play by injecting dramas and emotions into the script. He/She writes the dialogues for the characters and describes actions to be acted out.

Prop Maker –

  • meet with production staff to discuss what props are needed.
  • make detailed plans from ideas and rough sketches.
  • do historical research to make sure items fit with the time period of the production.
  • work with a range of materials to create realistic props.
  • use hand and power tools.

Front of House –

  • Welcome the audience into the building.
  • Ensure a high quality of customer service.
  • Sell food, drink and merchandise (bar)
  • Guide audience members in the right direction.
  • Manage incoming ticket sales over the phone and in person (box office).

What health and safety issues may affect the safety of the performers, the audience and yourself throughout this project?

Risk of:

  • Eye damage / visual problems.
  • Skin burns.
  • allergies to any product
  • high sound that can effect someones hearing
  • Respiratory problems.
  • Fire.
  • Electric shock.
  • Physical injury.
  • Nausea, headaches, tinnitus, fatigue.
