Task 1
Three jobs that I think I would suit well within Performing Arts are
- Actress
- Teacher I.E drama teacher
- Set Designer
I would like to apply for the role of a actress because because I enjoy acting, I like to be able to express myself and play different characters. I think that I am a good actor/ actress and that I take well to different types of direction from the ( director) and I take constructive criticism well and try to learn and improve from these criticisms.
I have previously been in school and church performances and plays but recieved no formal qualifications for these however I do have a bronze art award anspd silver in performing arts. I attained these by attending to shorts courses at The Brit School a well know performing arts school in South London.

I have done various different work placements such as working in Victoria building 14-16year olds college teacher to Bradford college. This showed me how to work better in a team and how to effectively communicate with fellow staff colleagues. Some of the students I worked with came from Troubled backgrounds and behavioural issues, due to this some had been excluded from mainstream schools and sent to us in a attempt to give them a last chance/ the direct support or attention they may have needed. Tasks would include supporting the class teacher to run the class/lesson as smoothly as possible I.e help to hand out paperwork, stationary and books ect, give students one to one or group support where needed, to intervene where necessary such as to de-escalate situations where a argument or fight may be likely to brake out. I would also have to right up any incidents ASAP to ensure that all the information was down and as to be able to prevent this happening again in the future and put measures in place. I also carried out risk assements such as ensuring there were no hazards in the classroom setting for example to ask students to tuck bags/coats in or under the table/chair to prevent someone from getting injured. Overall I learnt to work effectively in a team to ensure the saftey of all of our students and staff alike. I learned that communication is key and very important. I also learnt that you shouldn’t judge a book by itscover we all have our own story’s and ‘baggage’ per say. I also volunteered to work with adults whom have learning disability’s ranging from mild such as Adhd, low scale autism and dyslexia too low functioning autism, downsyndrome and other high needs learning disabilities they ranged in ages from 18 to 80. Tasks would range from helping individuals to do life skills Tasks such as cooking, numeracy, literacy and crafting. I also supported the individuals on days out Tasks included ensuring individuals were safe and okay. I also ensured that certain individuals adhered to the dietary requirements such as ensuring they used the right type of milk and ensuring individuals took their meds when they were supposed too. I talked to individuals about their day to lifes and Worries. I really enjoyed working with these individuals who have higher needs.
