I chose to present my EP online due to the easy access of it and the cost. I knew that the cost would be a lot cheaper to place online rather than create physical copies. It would also be easier for me to send music online to potential contacts, agents or scouts in the future to get my music heard.<\/p>\n

The EP was released on Bandcamp as this was the easiest option at the time, I had applied for the distribution company, Spinnup, to distribute my tracks however I encountered a problem. I uploaded the tracks and arranged for my EP to live in stores on the same day when I would be releasing it on Bandcamp (1\/06).\u00a0 However they kept sending my EP back to resolve issues such as:<\/p>\n

– Capital Letters for all Title names<\/p>\n

– Idon’tseemtoloveyoursmileanymore as seperate words<\/p>\n

As soon as I changed this I had to wait extra days to ensure that they had reverified it, by this time it was already 1\/06 therefore my EP would be distributed later on platforms such as: Spotify, Deezer, Itunes and Google Play. To encounter this problem and ensure that my EP would still be released I still released it on the 1\/06 on Bandcamp and then I would announce later when my EP is available on the other platforms. This could cause confusion as to where and when my EP is released, however since the time restriction of this project is until the 04\/06, it means that I can’t wait until Spinnup have reverified to then upload my EP onto all platforms at the same time. In the future, to resolve this problem, I will ensure that I upload my tracks onto a distribution company’s website many weeks before it’s release, so that if I do need to verify any issues then I have plenty of time to rectify them and then my music in the future will be released on the correct date.<\/p>\n
