Section 1: Rationale (approx. 100 words)
All 4 projects have helped towards my final major project. Project 1 helped me start off my development as a musician. It also helped me and others work collaboratively which will help us during the final project. Project 2 helped me with my compositional skills and gave me and experience and an idea of composing on Logic Pro 9. Project 4 gave an experience of being recorded in a studio, which will help for the final project a lot. It also gave an opportunity in mixing different instruments including vocals. This experience could help me know how I want my vocals to sound or how I want Harry to mix it
Section 2: Project Concept (approx. 200 words)
The concept for this project is, to record 4 songs for the EP, 2 covers and 2 original songs, which I will be writing/composing. Harry and I will be doing the instrumental for the tracks and we will compose the songs using software instruments and also record me/Bart on the guitar. For the vocals I wanted to layer them for example, Harmonizing or doing backing vocals for myself. Bart will promote the EP as his job role and also do the artwork for the EP or find someone to do it. We are hoping to compose and produce 2 songs in the genre of R&B that is slightly influenced with hip-hop and rock so that all the three of us are doing something we like. I wanted to combine the tree by having an R&B melody/rhythm with a hip-hop beat and rock influence it with guitar parts. We will be doing a live performance of the songs, Which will act as promotion. We want to perform the songs with the instrumental but also have live piano, guitar and vocals. I thought we could have two versions of each track for example, one track for the EP and one to be an instrumental for the live performance where main vocals and some guitar and piano parts are taken out.
Section 3: Evaluation (approx. 50 words)
I will be reflecting my work by keeping hand written notes, keeping a journal and evaluating everything each time.

I will keep a track of decisions we will be making in my notes. If I will have to make a decision for example, microphone placements, I will do my research first and then if I have to I will compare different microphones and different placements by recording some vocals and see which one sounds better, compare it and evaluate it.

Proposed Research Sources and Bibliography (Harvard Format)
I will research by using the internet. I will be looking and reading reviews books and also watching videos of different genres, keys, moods and different ways of composing.
