I found this website that gave me 13 ways to mic up a drum kit.
This website has helped me found out how to mic up a drum kit. The website has given step by step guide in positioning the microphones the right way and even included some images. On the website it said that the mic placements has an impact on he recorded sound. The website even gave a comparison between a dynamic and condenser mic and gave links to tutorials.
The comparison on the website:
The dynamic mic is often be used on the snare, bass drum and sometimes on the toms. This mic is good for picking up mid-range. The dynamic mic rejects the sounds coming from behind them while also boosting bottom-end when placed close to the subject.
The condenser mics are more sensitive than dynamic mics and needs phantom power.

Micing up guitar/bass amplifier
When micing up a bass or guitar amp, the amp should be close miced up with a dynamic microphone and placed more on the left or right side of the amp as that’s where the speakers are and the middle part is wood.
