Project aim
The puropse and aim for this project was, to look at composition in its broadest sense – generate musical ideas, explore and develop these ideas. The aim was to also understand and explore a variety of approaches and techniques for composition and arranging. This provided us with the oppoetunity to expand and develop listening and compositional skills.
Project tasks
For this project as a level 2 student, i had to compose a music piece approximately 60 seconds in length for a shakespeare sonnet in collaboration with the Media and Performing Arts students. This score had to represent the right tone and mood of the sonnet through the use of research and production techniques. Task 2 was, to compose together as a college band.
